Galentine’s Day

Where: Hunting Creek Vineyards

What: You’ve heard of Valentine’s Day, but what about a day for all of the pals in your life? Galentine’s Day at Hunting Creek Vineyards is a celebration dedicated to treating yourself and spending time with friends. Grab a glass of wine, and sip while you shop around for candy, crafts, gift baskets, and more.

Cooper’s Landing Cooking Class

Where: Cooper’s Landing

What: Cooper’s Landing regularly hosts cooking classes, but this month they’ll be changing it up in honor of Valentine’s Day. Food on the menu will include traditionally romantic dishes, setting the mood for a special night. Follow up the class with a night out on the 13th for the Cooper’s Landing is for Lovers dinner specials.

Where: The Prizery

What: Known as a turning point in the Revolutionary War, the Crossing of the Dan marked the beginning of the defeat of one of the most prominent British generals, Lt. General Charles Cornwallis, and his army. This year marks the 238th anniversary of the Crossing of the Dan. Attendees will listen to a speech delivered by keynote speaker Dr. Carole W. Troxler, enjoy a seafood buffet, and a then march to the Dan.

Supermoon Staunton River State Park

When: February 19, 6PM-8PM

Where: Staunton River State Park

What: If you’re a fan of the outdoors and natural beauty, then be sure to check out the Supermoon Hike at Staunton River State Park. The moon is expected to rise early in the evening, and hikers will set out around 6PM to get the best views of this rare natural phenomenon.

Trivia & Taco Tuesday

Where: Lamplighter Restaurant
